Our story

We built the Lotus because nobody else would.

The card shuffler market hasn't changed in decades. At the bottom, you have $20 plastic shufflers that jam, break, and sound terrible. At the top, there are casino grade machines that cost $5,000 to $15,000. In between? Nothing.

We thought that was absurd.

It started with a simple question: Why doesn't a good card shuffler exist for people who play cards at home? Not professional dealers. Not casinos. Just families playing UNO on a Tuesday night. Friends hosting poker. Grandparents who love card games but whose hands don't work like they used to.

That last group — the people who physically struggle with shuffling — became our North Star. We call them the "grandma contingent." They guided every design decision we made. If the shuffler required any force to operate, it wasn't good enough. If it was too loud, too bulky, or too complicated, it wasn't good enough. It had to be effortless.

Then something unexpected happened. When we put the Lotus in people's hands, we noticed that even people who could shuffle well preferred using it. Turns out, shuffling is one of those small stresses nobody talks about — the tiny moment of uncertainty when it's your turn to shuffle and you're not sure you'll do it cleanly. The Lotus removes that moment entirely.

What we built: A premium card shuffler with an inverse riffle mechanism, touch activated sensors (no buttons), whisper-quiet motor, and a compact design that folds flat and holds your cards inside. Materials that belong on a design shelf, not in a junk drawer. A product that makes shuffling disappear so you can focus on the game and the people around you.

Where we're going: The Lotus Shuffler is our first product, not our last. We're building a brand around the idea that the tools you use to play should be as good as the time you spend playing. Premium playing cards, custom designs, and new products are on the way.

We're a small team, and every shuffler we ship matters to us. If you have questions, ideas, or just want to tell us about your game night, reach out at info@play-lotus.com. We read everything.

We'll shuffle. You play.
